What is HIFU?
The Ultracel Q+ HIFU is a TGA approved (artg. no.307683) medical grade device which delivers completely non-invasive treatments for skin tightening and permanent fat reduction. It is a no downtime, non-surgical alternative to a facelift, providing long term tightening of the skin.

How does HIFU work?
ULTRAcel Q+ HIFU works by delivering high frequency ultrasound waves into the tissue to produce heat at a focal point. HIFU heats the tissue at the target point of 65-75 degrees, this promotes the body’s natural wound healing response to stimulate rapid collagen and elastin production. HIFU stimulates the natural regenerative process of the skin, and also has a lifting effect, because it targets the deep muscle layer known as SMAS – the same layer that is tightened during a surgical facelift.
What does it feel like?
HIFU with the ULTRAcel Q+ is a minimally painful treatment, especially when compared to other HIFU devices. You might feel a slight pin-prick sensation, heat or tenderness in some areas, however the treatment can be adjusted to manage any discomfort during your treatment.
What is the downtime?
There is minimal to no downtime. Slight redness may occur immediately after the treatment but this will quickly resolve.

- Autoimmune disease
- Haemorrhagic disease or haemostatic dysfunction
- Pregnant or breast-feeding women
- Active herpes infection
- Skin prone to keloid scarring
- Pacemakers and other electrically implanted devices
- Metal implants
- Cancer
- Cardiovascular conditions or clients who have undergone major heart surgery
- Poorly controlled diabetes
- Epilepsy
- Acute disease
- Dermatitis
When will I see results and how long do they last?
You may notice your skin is smoother and tighter immediately after the treatment. Noticeable effects will take place over two to four months, with the full effects taking place over 6 months.
For optimal results, we recommend treatments are spaced approximately 4-5 weeks apart.
